I love this! one thing that's helped me "write in speech" is doing first drafts on pen and paper. I've noticed that my handwritten thoughts are much more fluid, less self-conscious (because I can't read my handwriting), more like speech (because I'm reluctant to delete), etc. I also find that what I write by hand is often more honest/unfiltered/personal, and therefore more compelling.
